More than 300 athletes from Greece and abroad gathered in Paralio Astros (“Coastal Astros”) over the weekend of 9-10 September to take part in the Panhellenic Open Water Swimming Championships, a competition organised by the Hellenic Swimming Federation.
The event was a success and the setting certainly had something to do with it! The waters of the beach at Astros proved ideal for a swimming competition, while the scenery of the small port town delighted the spectators.
